GOSH. so many things to report. let's start with my grandma's birthday. Yesterday at my grandma's birthday we had to dress really fancy and posh so i wore my boots, jeans, wool jacket and also beads.. bro said i look very "song biang biang" heh heh well niwaez, my grandma invited 100 over guests and as i was seated at the main table with them, we had to go from table to table to thank guests and drink with them. then there was a guy who kept filming all of us so hahaha i was trying my very best to act demure!
Dinner consisted of 12 dishes and i have to say vegetarian food is really quite oily. despite having no meat, the chefs were brilliant at making fake sharks fin soup, fake abalone, fake sea cucumber.. blah blah..
As for entertainment we sang 3 songs for my grandma and we recorded our well wishing in front of the camera family by family. she was overjoyed and so was i.. until i heard the price for the entire dinner costed her about 5000 sing dollars -_- like OMG.
OK. now to the next interesting topic. Today, on the 8th apr, while i was on my way from taipei to taichung, we sat the high speed rail (taiwan's new train that resembled japan's shinkansen) and luckily for us my parents got us business class seats! woohoo! so happy and it was sooo spacious.
Guess what. Seating RIGHT IN FRONT of us was HO YEOW SUN and her kid and just a couple of seats further in front was milk from energy! hmm i think they were touring together... niwaez my bro and i approached the 2 of them for pics and they gladly obliged... although milk's manager was not as enthusiastic about letting me take a pic with him -_- hehe shall post the pics up when i return! WOOHOO! hehehe and we talked with ho yeow sun for a while before returning to our seats and bro was smiling throughout the journey.
(fyi my bro attends church at city harvest and the pastor there is ho yeow sun's husband that's why he was so enthusiastic...)
well well.. so much for a star struck day. Hopefully in this journey or the next we can get to see other taiwan artists! yea yea! heheh
time to go bathe. ciao!

i skipped day 3. coz i spent the ENTIRE day at home. ultimate boredness please. because yesterday was taiwan's national tomb sweeping day, we had tons of relatives who came by to pay respects to the ancestors and also have lunch with the family. I saw my cousins after soo long! fang jie and hao wei. gosh both of them are so tall now! and they play the cello and the violin respectively. cool man.. i was about to hao lian about my piano skills too! but too paiseh...
niwaez, so let's carry on with day 4. Today we had our family photo taking session at this really cool boutique called SOPHIA. this shop is so famous because they were the ones who took the president's daughter's wedding pictures (yea yea chen shui bian's daughter's wedding pics..)
My make up was done by my aunt who turned me into a geisha (not in a good sense according to my dad) hahaha but i was kinda satisfied with it except the foundation powder which i found it to be very irritating! haha and oh, u won't believe it! they made me took individual shots so they can make it into those sorta OMIAI (arranged marriage) pictures where you hand one party's picture over to the other side for consideration.. LOL i felt really weird having take all those individual shots.. well we'll see how it turns out to be!
dinner was at this seafood restaurant and it wasn't that too bad i was sooooo looking forward to eating gyoza and all those small taiwan eatery! T_T and i didn't get to eat my pudding today! argh gonna eat 2 of it tmr!
btw i have bloody mosquitoes bugging me now so i gtg!
cheerios!

2 Ulcers. that's what i am suffering from now. Painful, gross and unsightly. Sigh, how am i gona eat all the fried stuff like "chou dou fu", "zha ji pai" and "tian bu la"?? so sad.
niwaes, today we had breakfast at the shop near our place. i had "chong you bing" (fried onion pastry) and soy bean milk while mom had "jiu chai he zi" (chives bun) with salted soy bean milk (btw salted soy bean milk tastes marvellous!)
ah, got my IC done today. To think i look so mature in the pic.. and a beautiful girl at that too (heh, self indulging now.) but the butt is so big it can crush a fire engine truck. -_-
for lunch - we wanted to have something simple but grandma insisted that we have lunch at this really posh fancy restaurant and both my bro and i didn't know what to order coz the dishes were all so fancy and ex and not at all suitable for us. but somehow we managed to finish lunch soon so we headed out to SOGO to shop and mom got something fancy for herself! very very nice and ex tho. -_-
*note to all frens going taiwan: sogo is like takashimaya and the clothes they sell there are freaking expensive pls. so if u're looking for bargains, go to the night market intstead!
the entire afternoon was spent at the SOGO shopping and drinking coffee. Then for dinner we went to Shilin night market where we had some noodles and i drank this real delicious bitter gourd drink with honey. The sad thing is, alot of the gashapon shops we saw the other time were all gone and replaced with shops selling clothes and other accessories. there were so many people and we had difficulty trying to walk through the crowd!! i guess it's becoz tmr onwards there is a 4-day holiday coz tmr is the annual tomb sweeping day..
ok. nothing much already and tmr i gotta entertain some other family members coming back to the main house for lunch so it's cheerios now.
jya.

Hmm. Taiwan. I haven't been back since 2005 and its looking good, despite the poor weather recently. Almost freezed my butt off this evening with temperatures as low as 15 bloody degrees! Forgot my sweat pants, now wearing grannie's sweat pants and shirt (no joke!) so i'm looking like an auntie. HAH, how real.
One thing i was quite surprised - the queen size bed disappeared from the room! OMFG! yijia are u reading this? this means we have to think of another sleeping format!
Ate mee suah for dinner today. Lovely and delightful. Promised grandma i would eat 5 bowls of it but heh i only ate 2 1/2 bowls + soup + veggies blah blah and of course to top it off for dessert, i ate the "tong-yi" egg pudding! yup, the super BIG one. *grunts and snorts* now i'm so happy and contented!
Another serious thing i would like to fret and be pissed about. Of all days, my strawberry jam had to arrive today! !@#$%^&* and it hurts quite alot so hopefully a few of those ibuprofen pills can subside the blardy pain. but the pudding did its job in making me quite satisfied already. *grins widely*
Tmr i will be going to make my taiwan IC (hah, finally, after 21 years i have something to prove i am taiwanese besides the passport), following by shopping area the town area and eating at some fancy restaurant as suggested by my grandma.
Before i leave and go watch some nice tele movies/shows, leme kiss u all goodbye and goodnight as well
I better hurry coz my bro says we are leeching the neighbour's internet and i told him its illegal but he says we're not in sg but in taiwan so it's ok. LOL what nonsense.
cya!
